If you're reading this, you're probably hesitating to order from AliExpress. You're wondering if the…

I regularly order from AliExpress, and until now, I often had to wait two or three weeks — or more — to receive a product.
But now, a major change is coming: AliExpress has just launched a brand-new logistics service called Local+. And trust me, it’s a real game-changer for European buyers.
What is AliExpress’ Local+ service?
Local+ is the name of the new system AliExpress has implemented to speed up its deliveries in Europe.
In concrete terms, the platform has invested in warehouses located directly on the continent — ten warehouses already operating in the UK, Germany, and Spain. Other countries are expected to follow, like Poland.
With Local+, no more long waits from China. The products are already stored in Europe and ready to ship. The result? Delivery within 7 days, and sometimes even between 3 and 5 business days depending on the destination.
How does it work for sellers?
Since 2022, European merchants have been able to sell on AliExpress, but they had to handle shipping themselves. It was convenient, but not always smooth.
Now, with Local+, AliExpress handles all logistics: storage, shipping, returns. Products sold through this channel display a special “Local+” label, allowing customers to easily spot items that ship quickly and locally.
A strategy designed for Europe
This new service is no coincidence. It comes at a key moment: Europe is tightening its customs rules and gradually removing tax advantages for parcels from China. As a result, storing products locally becomes much more attractive for both sellers and buyers.
AliExpress isn’t the only one adopting this strategy. Temu, its direct competitor, started shipping from European warehouses in 2024. Shein is following the same path. The Chinese e-commerce war is now being fought on European soil, and speed is becoming a key decision factor.
Which countries are included?
At the moment, the fast Local+ delivery is active in several countries, including:
- The Netherlands
- Spain
- The United Kingdom
- Germany
According to some sources, France could be added soon. Other markets like Poland and Italy are also being targeted.
Free shipping and returns?
Yes! And that’s great news. Products marked Local+ benefit not only from fast delivery but also from free shipping and free returns in the included countries.
It greatly simplifies the buying process. Fewer doubts, more transparency, and above all, fewer hidden costs.
An opportunity for local sellers too
What we often forget is that Local+ is not just about delivering Chinese products faster. AliExpress also wants to attract European sellers. In Germany, for instance, local brands can now sell directly on the platform with real logistics support.
Brands like Anker, Roborock, and Ecovacs are already benefiting from the system. This allows AliExpress to offer a more diversified and higher-quality selection, building loyalty among European buyers.
An aggressive strategy against Amazon
It’s clear: AliExpress no longer wants to be seen only as a low-cost Chinese marketplace. The company aims to establish itself permanently in Europe, like Amazon. And with Local+, it’s finally equipping itself to achieve that goal.
Between fast logistics, simplified returns, and the arrival of European sellers, the platform is leveling up. For us buyers, that’s a real advantage.
My personal opinion
As a regular AliExpress customer, I see this evolution very positively. What sometimes held me back was the long wait (and the fear of never receiving the package). With Local+, I can order electronics or clothes and get them a few days later — just like from any European shop.
And for sellers, it’s a real opportunity. No more managing shipping or dealing with complicated import fees. Everything is centralized.
Conclusion
AliExpress Local+ marks a real turning point for the platform. With European warehouses, full shipping management, and faster, more reliable service, AliExpress is stepping up its game. It’s a development that will clearly change how people view the site — and may even help it seriously compete with Amazon in the European market.
And you, have you tried a “Local+” order yet? I’d love to hear your feedback!
