I regularly order from AliExpress, and until now, I often had to wait two or…

Did you place an order on AliExpress and now need to get an invoice?
Since April 2025, it’s no longer a classic invoice, but rather a receipt — a purchase proof made for individual buyers.
Don’t worry: even if the name has changed, this document is still enough to track your expenses, justify a purchase, or request a warranty.
In this guide, I’ll show you how to get this receipt, what it contains, and when it might be a problem (especially if you're a business buyer).
And if you are a business buyer, I’ll also explain how to get a real invoice suitable for your accounting.
Steps to download a receipt (invoice) from AliExpress website
Getting an invoice on AliExpress can feel confusing, especially if you’re new to the platform.
No worries! Just follow these steps for a smooth process.
1 – Log in to your account
- Go to AliExpress.
- In the top right corner, click “Sign In”.
- Enter your login info or use a social media account.

2 – Go to the “My Orders” section
- Once logged in, hover over “My Account”.
- From the dropdown menu, click “My Orders”.

3 – Select the order
- You’ll see a list of all your purchases.
- Find the order you need the invoice for.
- Click on “Order Details”.

4 – Download the invoice (receipt)
On the order page, click on the “Receipt” button. A summary window will appear.
You’ll see two options:
- Click “Download” to get the PDF,
- Or click “Send by email” to receive it in your inbox.

How to get your invoice from the AliExpress app?
If you use the AliExpress mobile app, here’s how to find and download your receipt. It’s easy once you know where to tap — even if some terms are in English.
These are the steps I personally follow every time:
- Open the AliExpress app.
- Tap “Account” in the bottom right (the little person icon).
- Tap “View All” next to “My Orders”.
- Select the order from the list.
- On the order page, look for the “Download receipt” button.
Tap it, then choose to download the file or send it by email.
Note: the file is called “Receipt” and shows “VAT included”, but it’s not a full VAT invoice. It’s fine for personal use.

Other ways to get an invoice from AliExpress
If the standard methods don’t work for you, there are also external tools that can generate invoices automatically from your orders.
Here’s what I’ve tested and what to know before trying this type of solution.
AliVoice tool: what is it and how does it work?
Among the available tools, AliVoice is one of the most popular. It’s a Chrome extension that lets you create a PDF invoice from an AliExpress order.
Here’s how it works:
- Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- Log into your AliExpress account.
- Select an order, and AliVoice will generate a PDF invoice, which you can download or get by email.
Important: this invoice is created by a third-party tool, not by AliExpress. It can help track expenses, but it has no official tax or legal value.

Third-party tools: programs and extensions
There are also other browser extensions or standalone tools that promise to generate invoices. A quick Google search will show you many options.
My advice: before using this kind of tool, check the reviews, ratings, and make sure it’s still maintained.
Avoid apps that ask for too many permissions or access your data without a clear reason.

How to get a real invoice for business use?
If you’re a freelancer, online seller or buying for a company, the standard AliExpress receipt won’t work for your accounting.
To get a full invoice with VAT, you must use the special platform: AliExpress Business. Here’s what to do:
- Create an AliExpress Business account: It’s free, but you’ll need to enter your legal and tax info (company name, VAT number, etc.).
- Buy only from Business-enabled sellers: Only they can provide invoices that meet legal standards.
- After placing your order, you’ll be able to download your business invoice, usually in the “My Orders” section of the Business dashboard.
Tip: some sellers clearly show “VAT invoice available” on the product page. Check this before buying.

Why download your AliExpress invoice (or receipt)?
- To request a refund or warranty: The receipt proves your purchase. Without it, AliExpress may refuse your claim.
- To track your spending: Date, price, store name — a good way to manage your budget, especially if you order often.
- To justify a business purchase: For professionals, only a VAT invoice is valid. You’ll need to use AliExpress Business.
- To keep a record: Useful if it’s a gift, or to compare prices later.
Conclusion
On AliExpress, it’s not just about buying well — you also need to keep a clear record. Since April 2025, classic invoices are gone, replaced by simplified receipts you can easily download.
For personal use, this document is enough. But if you’re a professional, make sure to create an AliExpress Business account: it’s the only way to get a real VAT invoice that fits your bookkeeping.
Always download your receipts as soon as your order is delivered. It takes 30 seconds… and can save you trouble later.
